The Tradition Continues
ALL IN THE FAMILY
Don and Wendy Lange fell for Oregon Pinot noir back in the early 1980's. After tasting wines made by Dick Erath and David Lett, the Lange's moved north from Santa Barbara and purchased a parcel of land in the Willamette Valley. The year 1987 marked their first vintage under the Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards label. Considered to be among the trailblazers of the Northern Willamette Valley wine region, the Lange's focused on growing and producing terroir-driven and balanced examples of Oregon Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.
After a few decades of crafting world-class wines sourced exclusively from their estate and other premier vineyards in the Willamette Valley, the Don and his son, second-generation Winemaker Jesse Lange, began exploring experimental vineyards and varietals in the Columbia Gorge and Southern Oregon's Rogue and Umpqua Valleys. Their exploration of these regions led to the creation of Domaine Trouvère and the production of small-lot Old World varietals to bring a new perspective to an age-old craft.
Now celebrating 30+ years of sustainable winegrowing in Oregon's highly acclaimed Dundee Hills, they invite you to visit their heritage Lange Estate Winery and Vineyard or stop into their Domaine Trouvère Wine Café for classic espresso drinks, a light gourmet menu or tastings of their award winning Rhône and Rioja varietal wines.
